A Visit from the Tooth Fairy

Well, we finally had our first visit from the tooth fairy on Saturday night.  Hallelujah!  I didn't think that kid was ever going to lose any teeth.  Although, I'm not in a big hurry for him to grow up so that was ok really.

I was helping him brush his teeth a couple of weeks ago and noticed that his two bottom teeth were already coming in, but the problem was that he hadn't lost his baby teeth yet.  Fortunately, they were loose and he started worked on them daily.  I would peek in on him in the mornings and there he would be, still laying in bed, but wiggling his teeth.  He really started working on them when his dad told him that he could use his tooth fairy money to buy a new Legos Play Station game.  That seemed to really do the trick.

Where was he when he lost the tooth?  Home Depot of all places.  That tooth was hanging on for dear life and Mark just barely bumped it and it fell right out.  I was so proud of Jack.  He doesn't handle the sight of blood very well, but he was a trooper.  He did appear a little shocked at first, but then of course thought it was really cool.

The Tooth Fairy needs to be better prepared next time though.  He/She had to pay up in all quarters!  Jack seems to think that they don't keep the teeth, but rather turn them into money.

He thinks the tooth fairy is a boy because, "this is boys writing".  He might be on to something here.
