3 little monkeys jumping on the bed...

This past weekend we decided to get out of this smelly house and take a little trip over to Fort Worth with the kids. We wanted to take Jack to the stockyards, which we did, but we realized that it was a bit of a tourist trap so we didn't stay too long. Not to mention the fact that it was hot and we were baking in the sun. Before leaving, Jack did get to ride a pony named Buckwheat. He seemed to enjoy that. Later we headed out for dinner at Joe T. Garcia's (fabulous) and then back to the hotel. We had so much fun at the hotel in Sundance Square. Neither of the kids have ever stayed in a HOTAIL (as jack pronounced it) so that was an extra special treat. Both of the kids had a fun time running in the halls (yes we let them do that, but there wasn't any screaming) and swimming in the pool.

The place we stayed was perfect for walking around the city and checking out the sights. The Fort Worth downtown area is really much nicer than Dallas. Saturday morning we walked over to the Water Gardens a had breakfast at a local diner. Very fun little staycation for the Haisler crew.

We had the most fun jumping on the bed (yes, we did this too). There were no broken bones, although we did have one minor fall, but no injuries. A few tears, but nothing that stopped anyone from jumping around. Now, for all of you concerned about little people jumping on beds and flying through the air, they really aren't as high off the bed as it is appears in the picture. The picture is deceiving, but Jack thinks it is awesome!
