Winding down

I guess Jack is getting ready for the holidays himself.   We are cooking and cleaning and trying to get ready for the holiday weekend and while I am busily trying to cook a few things he is on the sofa reading books. He loves to read.  He likes to do many, many things, but I honestly think that reading is one of his most favorite things to do.  I had planned on taking a break to read him a few books and he stopped me.  He says to me, "no mommy, I don't need help, I am reading myself.  I am just relaxing.  I have no time to play because I am trying to wind down."  Honestly, those are his words.  I am certainly glad that he enjoys reading.  I didn't enjoy reading until I was much older.
